this was my grandmothers favorite stitch! she loved to crochet chevron blankets. i'm lucky to have four beautiful blankets from her and they are all over 20 years old & still keep me warm (:
I hope you have fun with this pattern!
You can use any yarn that you want. I used cotton/acrylic yarn
3, 0 mm size hook
(ch2 counts as first hdc)
color a
ch 12
row 1: hdc in 3rd chain from hook and in next 3 ch's, 3 hdc in next ch and hdc in last 5 ch's. ch2 turn
row 2: hdc in next 5 sts, 3 hdc in next st, hdc in last 6 sts. ch 2 turn
color b
row 3: hdc in next 6 sts, 3 hdc in next st, hdc in last 7 sts. ch2 turn
row 4: hdc in next 7 sts, 3 hdc in next st, hdc in last 8 sts. ch 2 turn
color c
row 5: hdc in next 8 sts, 3 hdc in next st, hdc in last 9 sts. ch2 turn
row 6: hdc in next 9 sts, 3 dc in next st, hdc in last 10 sts.
Fasten off, weave ends & spray a little bit of stiffener on your finished piece.
Now you can attach the piece to a chain & your all done!
ps: you could add some beads or fringe on the bottom

I love, love, love that ring! I'm going to look for something similar on etsy.
